Honestly, seems like an unnecessary additional load on development - is there evidence this is actually increased usability? There are mention of some studies but I'm not entirely convinced. Saying it "annihilated the competition" is not validation.

Without serious evidence to support this, I would not be able to justify the crazy additional workload required by devs to implement this. It's an extremely limiting UI style that adds all kinds of additional visual requirements and potential clutter.

I'd like to see a 'real' implementation of this that isn't floating boxes with fake graphs that is not representative of a real user experience.
