I think there' s a bigger discussion to be had about the problematic angle of designers treating everything as needing to be fixed, particularly on the less experienced end. This leads to a lot of half-baked, poorly researched ideas that are more about the theatre of design thinking than about any acknowledgement of what the people interacting with the artefact want.
